افتراضي he moon into two divisions

It was transmitted in the two Sahihs of Al-Bukhari and Muslim as part of the Hadith of Anas that: The people of Mecca asked Allah’s Messenger (Peace Be Upon Him) to show them a miracle. Thereupon, he showed them the splitting of the moon into two divisions and that they saw the mount of Hira’ in middle of the two divisions.
Imam Ahmed narrated on the authority of Jubair Ibn Mut`am who said, “The moon split during the era of Allah’s Messenger (Peace Be Upon Him), one half on that side and the other on the other.” But, they said: ‘Muhammad enchanted us.’ Some of them said: ‘Wait till the coming travelers inform you, as Muhammad can not enchant all people.’ When the travelers arrived, they told them they saw the same phenomenon.” Transmitted by Abu Dawud Al-Tayalisi on the authority of Ibn Mas`ud.
Among the Messenger’s Miracles was the case of the stem of the palm-tree that moaned as it was longing to the Messenger’s touch. Many Companions of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) narrated (as per mentioned in Al-Bukhari) that Allah’s Messenger used to preach on the Friday Prayer while leaning to a stem. A woman from the Ansar said: Can’t we make a pulpit for you? Allah’s Messenger (Peace Be Upon Him) replied: If you wish, you can make one. Next Friday, Allah’s Messenger climbed the pulpit. The palm-tree cried. He descended and hugged the palm-tree and it began to moan just like a child who was about to stop crying. He said, ‘It wept for missing what it used to listen to of the Remembrance of Allah the Almighty.’
Another Miracle: when the water gushed out of his honored fingers. Imam Al-Qurtubi stated that that incident has repeated so many times during important events. No other prophet has made such a miracle.
On the authority of Anas Ibn Malik:
“I saw Allah’s Messenger when the `Asr Prayer was due and the people searched for water to perform ablution but they could not find it. Later on (a pot full of) water for ablution was brought to Allah’s Messenger. He put his hand in that pot and ordered the people to perform ablution from it. I saw the water springing out from underneath his fingers till all of them performed the ablution”. (it was one of the miracles of the Prophet).
On the authority of Anas Ibn Malik:
It was the time for prayer, and those whose houses were near got up and went to their people (to perform ablution), and there remained some people (sitting). Then a painted stove pot (Mikhdab) containing water was brought to Allah’s Messenger. The pot was small, not broad enough for one to spread one’s hand in; yet all the people performed ablution. (The sub narrator said, “We asked Anas, ‘How many persons were you?’ Anas replied, ‘We were eighty or more’”). (It was one of the miracles of Allah’s Messenger).‏
On the authority of Thabit:
Anas said, “The Prophet asked for water and a tumbler with a broad base and not so deep, containing a small quantity of water, was brought to him whereby he put his fingers in it.” Anas further said, “I noticed the water springing out from amongst his fingers.” Anas added, “I estimated that the people who performed ablution with it numbered between seventy to eighty.”‏
On the authority of Anas Ibn Malik who said:
“Once in the lifetime of the Prophet (p b u h) the people were afflicted with drought (famine). While the Prophet was delivering the Khutbah on a Friday, a Bedouin stood up and said, “O, Allah’s Apostle! Our possessions are being destroyed and the children are hungry; Please invoke Allah (for rain)”. So the Prophet raised his hands. At that time there was not a trace of cloud in the sky. By Him in Whose Hands my soul is as soon as he lowered his hands, clouds gathered like mountains, and before he got down from the pulpit, I saw the rain falling on the beard of the Prophet. It rained that day, the next day, the third day, the fourth day till the next Friday. The same Bedouin or another man stood up and said, “O Allah’s Apostle! The houses have collapsed, our possessions and livestock have been drowned; Please invoke Allah (to protect us)”. So the Prophet I raised both his hands and said, “O Allah! Round about us and not on us”. So, in whatever direction he pointed with his hands, the clouds dispersed and cleared away, and Madina’s (sky) became clear as a hole in between the clouds. The valley of Qanat remained flooded, for one month, none came from outside but talked about the abundant rain.” ‏
Also among his miracles, increasing the amount of food through his blessing and prayers. It was narrated on the authority of Jabir that: We were digging (the trench) on the day of (Al-Khandaq (i.e. Trench)) and we came across a big solid rock. We went to the Prophet and said, “Here is a rock appearing across the trench.” He said, “I am coming down.” Then he got up, and a stone was tied to his belly for we had not eaten anything for three days. So the Prophet took the spade and struck the big solid rock and it became like sand. I said, “O Allah’s Messenger! Allow me to go home.” (When the Prophet allowed me) I said to my wife, “I saw the Prophet in a state that I cannot treat lightly. Have you got something (for him to eat?” She replied, “I have barley and a she goat.” So I slaughtered the she-kid and she ground the barley; then we put the meat in the earthenware cooking pot. Then I came to the Prophet when the dough had become soft and fermented and (the meat in) the pot over the stone trivet had nearly been well-cooked, and said, “I have got a little food prepared, so get up O Allah’s Messenger, you and one or two men along with you (for the food).”
The Prophet asked, “How much is that food?” I told him about it. He said, “It is abundant and good. Tell your wife not to remove the earthenware pot from the fire and not to take out any bread from the oven till I reach there.” Then he said (to all his companions), “Get up.” So the Muhajirin (i.e. Emigrants) and the Ansar got up. When I came to my wife, I said, “Allah’s Mercy be upon you! The Prophet came along with the Muhajirin and the Ansar and those who were present with them.” She said, “Did the Prophet ask you (how much food you had)?” I replied, “Yes.” Then the Prophet said, “Enter and do not throng.” The Prophet started cutting the bread (into pieces) and put the cooked meat over it. He covered the earthenware pot and the oven whenever he took something out of them. He would give the food to his companions and take the meat out of the pot. He went on cutting the bread and scooping the meat (for his companions) till they all ate their fill, and even then, some food remained.
Then the Prophet said (to my wife), “Eat and present to others as the people are struck with hunger.”
Abu Hurairah has also narrated that during the Battle of Tabuk, people were starving. Then, `Umar Ibn Al-Khattab said, O Allah’s Messenger! Ask them to bring whatever they could have of food. So, he asked everyone to do so and made a man to put some corn on his palm and let another one to get a piece of bread till a little amount has been gathered. Then, he prayed Allah to have the blessing, and he said, “take in your bowels”. They began to take the food in their bowels till they left no empty bowel in the camp and they all ate to their fill and there was some left. Then, he said, “I certify that there is no god but Allah and I am His Messenger. Anyone who meets with Allah while he is sure about them (these words), he will be admitted into Paradise.”
Among his miracles is that his prayers are effectively answered (Peace Be Upon Him): It is narrated on the authority of Hudhaifah: If Allah’s Messenger were to pray for a man, his prayer would last till it reaches his grand sons and they would all be blessed. It is narrated on the authority of Anas Ibn Malik that: “I swear by Allah that my money is plentiful and my grand sons are now about one hundred.” Al-Qadi Abu Al-Fadl has also narrated that Allah’s Messenger has prayed for the sake of Mu`awiyah to enable him to rule the countries and he did rule the countries. The same was true as for Sa`d Ibn Abu Waqqas to whom the Prophet invoked Allah to let his prayers answered. Thus, whenever he prayed for or against anyone, his prayers were to be answered.
It was also narrated on the authority of Sa`d Ibn Abu Waqqas that Allah’s Messenger has prayed Allah to make Islam victorious at the hands of one of the two `Umars; `Umar Ibn Al-Khattab or `Amr Ibn Hisham and Allah answered his prayer in the form of `Umar Ibn Al-Khattab. And so many other miracles as well.
